1. Who we are
Loopi, Inc. (“Loopi,” “we,” “us”) is a Delaware C-Corporation. This policy describes how we handle personal data when you use our mobile app, website, and related services (the “Services”).
2. What we collect
Account information
Name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and government-issued ID — the data we need to verify you under Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) rules.
Financial information
Linked bank account details (via our payments partner, Plaid), transaction history on Loopi, and account balances held by our broker-dealer partner.
Device & usage data
Device type, operating system, app version, IP address, crash logs, and in-app events — all tied to a pseudonymous identifier, not your name.
3. How we use it
- To provide and operate the Services
- To verify your identity and comply with applicable law
- To process transactions with our broker-dealer partner
- To compute your Loopi Score feed and other personalized features
- To send account-related messages (security alerts, transaction confirmations)
- To detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with parties who help us deliver the Services, and only to the extent they need it:
- Our broker-dealer partner — to execute and settle trades
- Plaid — to link and verify your bank account
- Identity verification vendors — for KYC / AML
- Cloud infrastructure providers — hosting, logging, analytics of our own app performance
- Law enforcement — where required by valid legal process
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers.
5. How we keep it safe
- AES-256 encryption at rest
- TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit
- Biometric (Face ID / Touch ID) authentication for transactions
- Least-privilege access controls and audit logging for our team
- Regular third-party security reviews
No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data the way we'd want ours treated — and we'll tell you promptly if something goes wrong.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email us at privacy@loopi.company. We'll respond within 30 days.
7. Retention
We keep account and transaction records for as long as your account is open, plus the period required by financial regulations (generally 7 years after closure). Device & usage data is kept for up to 24 months and then deleted or fully anonymized.
8. Children
Loopi is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. International users
Loopi is operated from the United States. If you use the Services from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US, where privacy laws may differ from your country.
10. Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you through the app or by email before they take effect. The “Effective” date at the top always reflects the current version.
